Update 4.0


This is the last of the planned content updates. Updates will still go out to fix bugs and issues that are found and small pieces of content may be added based on any requests made that aren’t too grand in scope, but nothing else major like 2.0, 3.0, and this update are planned.

Edge of Nothing

Time creates many paths. Some are destined to grow until the realm itself fades away, while others end much before that. What happens to those that wander too far or desperately pursue any options to escape their otherwise assured end?

This includes a one act main quest and additional followup content. Unlocking this content requires completion of NaN’s, Mira’s, and Claude’s companion quests, obtained from speaking to them in their rooms at your home base during Act 2. It can then be accessed by speaking to the NPC that appears in one of Verdenheim’s parks and then using the new node that appears in the teleport room. Level 50+ is recommended.

New Storyline companion, Kushiel the Warden. Obtained when starting the new content, Kushiel is a tank that mitigates damage thanks to his passive ability to defer damage and uses his abilities to control the battlefield. His special companion gear will be gained as you complete story connected areas of the new content.

New mercenary companion, Surai the Shadowblade. A damage dealer that focuses on building up stacks through basic attacks and lesser skills, then spends them to increase the potency of her more powerful abilities. (Requires the acquisition of the reward item from the optional dungeon in Hin Su)

New mercenary companion, Thunder Upon Waves the Stormcaller. A damage dealer that utilizes the power of energy and water to form a storm of powerful spells. (Requires completion of the Last Light storyline)

New mercenary companion, Whisper the Wraith. A support character that focuses on preventing damage through shielding allies while manipulating negative conditions away from allies and onto enemies.

New item type, Relics. These items are scattered around the world, requiring you to explore older content if you wish to collect them all. They have no cost beyond a hefty cooldown once used and grant powerful effects.

(The item slot went live due to needing to patch a progression stopping bug, however none of the items to fill that slot were available to use until now)

New weapon type, Greatsword. Used by Kushiel, these two handed weapons lock off use of an offhand item, but make up for it by having the stats of both a main hand weapon and off hand shield. Other Greatswords can be crafted in your base.

Fixes since last version

Fixed an issue that was causing agility and luck to add less of an effect to certain parameters than they were supposed to. (hit, evasion, magic evasion, and crit)

Fixed the Bleed DoT effect to no longer refresh turns. It now adds to the current total number of turns when a new instance is applied like other DoT effects.

Fixed an issue that was causing certain DoT effects to not deal the correct amount of damage per turn.

Fixed an issue that was preventing most claw weapons from using the altered basic attack for health regen for Helscen in his tank form.

Fixed an issue that was preventing minor dialog from being visible from speaking to your companions during act 3.

Fixed an issue that could allow for certain characters that died to still have dialog in an ending cutscene.

Fixed scaling on some of the sprites in various places around Last Light.

Removed the sound effects from Jin’s idle animations in the mercenary room of the home base.
